The East Alabama Big Train lost their first match this morning falling 4-3 to Thomasville, GA. Afterword the Train defeated the #1 seeded Columbus Woodbats, 5-4, before winning their rematch with Thomasville 7-5.

Within just two short seasons the league has been recognizesd Nationally by ESPN Magazine as one of the top 20 Summer Wooden Bat Leagues in the Nation. Today, the Big Train has under contract 30 collegiate athletes whom not only excel on the baseball diamond, but also in the classroom with six current Honor Students represented on the roster. It is our hope that the Big Train players will be excellent role models for the youth of Alabama. The Big Train staff is excited to be playing in various venues around the state with the current home field being at Legendary Rickwood Field. Come join us and bring your favorite lawn chair.
